The editor Kate provides further possibilities. It is based on the same editor component as KWrite, but supports concurrent editing of multiple files.

A useful feature is syntax highlighting. Both KWrite and Kateoffer this feature. It formats program code to make it more readable. This can be activated in ‘Extras’ -> ‘syntax highlighting’.
