It is the nature of "push technology" to seize your poor innocent friends and require them to sit through your excrutiatingly boring holiday snaps. Here, however, "pull technology" wins so you can browse them if you want to, listen to my wibblings if you want to, or go off and surf for porn if you want to.
Having left my holiday arrangements until the last possible moment, I arranged a flight-only return ticket to Heraklion airport on Crete. I went to Rethymnon and Plakias and had a really good time. I was away for the first week of October, the penultimate week of the Cretan tourist season. It poured with rain for one half day and was very windy for about 24 hours afterwards. Other than that the weather was beautiful.
