Natural Sciences Tripos - Elementary Mathematics for Biologists
Computing and Excel
Lecturer: B. Beckles
Here are the handouts for the Computing and Excel part of the course, held early in the Michaelmas Term in Titan Teaching Room 1 from 08:30 to 10:00 (although it is not compulsory to arrive at 08:30).
All documents are in PDF format. They are arranged here, only informally, into the five practical sessions. Late joiners to the course should almost certainly skip Task 1.
Those using spreadsheets other than Excel 2007 or Excel 2010, such as OpenOffice.org Calc or LibreOffice Calc, should probably use the Excel 2003 versions of the handouts (where provided).
Unless otherwise stated in the body of the document, the documents currently available here were last updated in Michaelmas Term 2013 (except for the Excel 2003 versions, which were last updated in Michaelmas Term 2010). Any updated versions of these documents will be added after the session using the updated document document has taken place this academic year.
